Understanding begins with yourself. With DISC Parents, you'll learn what type of person you are when it comes to interacting with others—and how your style influences your relationship with your child.
The model is based on four symbolic birds (eagle, parrot, dove, and owl) that clearly demonstrate your strengths, risks, and reaction patterns. This allows you to playfully compare your child's profile with your "adult" bird.
Ideal for:
– Parents who want to communicate more consciously
– Caregivers who want to reflect on their behavior
– Adults who want to better assess their impact on children
This is what you get:
- Online test (approx. 15–20 minutes)
- PDF evaluation with your bird type
- Practical tips for self-awareness and family communication
- Can be combined with DISC Kids

I never would have thought that a personality profile could bring so much clarity to our family communication. When I completed my own DISC profile, it turned out that I’m an “Eagle” – structured, direct, and goal-oriented. My son, on the other hand, according to his children’s profile, is a “Dove” – more cautious, harmony-seeking, and sensitive. No wonder he was sometimes overwhelmed when I was too direct or sudden with changes. Now that I know this, I address things more calmly and gently – and suddenly everything works much better. A real help in everyday life!
I took the parent profile because I wanted to understand why there were always tensions with my son. According to his profile, he is a “Parrot”, I myself am an “Owl”. I learned that I often focus too much on details and am too critical, while he needs more freedom and creativity. Instead of getting annoyed when he forgets something again, I now plan differently. I give him more space and structure our tasks more clearly. It’s really fascinating how helpful the profile is – and it’s actually fun to talk about it!
I work a lot and often lack patience in everyday family life. Through the DISC parent profile, I learned that as an “Owl” I am very detail-oriented, while my daughter is a real “Parrot” – impulsive, playful, and sometimes a bit chaotic. In the past, I often wondered why she could never stick to agreements. Now I know she simply has a different way of thinking. With this knowledge, I can adjust our communication much better. The profile has really improved our relationship.
The DISC parent profile was a real eye-opener for me. I tried for a long time to get along better with my son, but something was always missing. It was only through the combination of my profile and his that I realized: I am an “Eagle”, he is a “Parrot”. That means I think strategically and directly – he needs fun, variety, and lots of emotion. Since we both know our “animals”, we talk to each other differently. We often laugh about our differences and learn from each other. This has made our family life easier and happier.
